Celebrating the Englewood Public School District's progress under new leadership. Since Dr. Marnie Hazelton took the helm in June 2023—after a period of leadership changes—there has been notable growth in academics, instructional quality, and equity initiatives. This progress reflects our commitment to strategic leadership that fosters a positive and sustained impact on student success and community well-being.

Dwight Morrow High School and the Academies at Englewood proudly received state approval for multiple CTE pathways, including Finance, Cosmetology, IT Security, and Law & Public Safety. These programs provide students with valuable real-world skills and enhance career opportunities, positioning them for future success. Our gratitude goes to the dedicated educators and staff making this possible.

Celebrating Student Voice

Join the Ed Leaders Program to reshape education.

Grateful for the opportunity to spend a week in Israel with an amazing group of AASA school superintendents. The historic significance of the trip was not lost on us. We were able to meet with the mayor of Tel Aviv, the Tel Aviv Director of Education, the Mayor of Isfiya Druze Village, and the Director of the US Consulates Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
However, the most moving part of the trip for me was meeting and talking to the young people of the country. From students at HaKfar HaYarok Youth Village to the children at Save a Child's Heart, and the young people celebrating Iftar in Old Jerusalem, I was humbled, moved, and inspired by their spirit. ❤️ #StudentVoice ☮️

"In the days of the Great Revolt, the last of the rebels against Rome entrenched themselves at Masada and turned their desperate fight into a symbol of the struggle for freedom. Because of the enthralling historic events that took place on the mountain, and the archaeological finds that have been revealed there, UNESCO has declared Masada National Park a World Heritage Site."

Educator's letter to President Obama and his reply spur a focus on prose
I was honored and privileged to be one of seven people, out of 4,000 entries, to be selected to appear in this commercial. This achievement and my commitment to life-long learning is not only meant to inspire my son - I also share and celebrate this major accomplishment with all the students and teachers I have worked with over my 20+ years in education. Our educational journey is not defined by timelines, it is absolutely a marathon in which we each run our own individual race. #CarpeDiem
